Is So Good
Psalm 116
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of his saints.
This verse always perplexed
me. Why would the LORD
be concerned about our death? I mean, if the whole point is
to go to be with HIM, why is
our death (transition to heaven) precious to HIM?
I found an answer and I believe
it to be the answer.
The LORD
is certainly anticipating our arrival to be with HIM,
but HE is also extremely
concerned about this life! That is what makes HIM
so good! HE came to give
us life and that we would have it more abundantly!
It is JESUS'
concern that we live a full and glorious life right here - right
now. In fact we have a serious role to play in the battle
here for souls.
Did you know that you are living
in the time of the earth that can be described (possibly no better
way) than The Battle for Souls?
The LORD
is watching us closely and fighting for us and those we will
reach. HE is the Captain
of the Hosts of Heaven of which we are a member.
The death of one of HIS
saints is precious because it marks the completion of the battle
we waged on this earth for the Lost! It is a completed
chapter in the history of the earth!
Well, what can we do to make it
an interesting chapter? Just do our best to follow HIM!
