The
Victory
(continued)
Judges
15:18
Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the LORD, "You have given
your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall
into the hands of the uncircumcised?"
-----------------------------------
Samson had just won a great Victory over the
enemy. Then he found himself in incredible
thirst.
Have you ever been there? Right after a
miracle in your life, it seems like the walls are closing in on
you. I know this has happened to me.
It appears that although the
enemy can't stop the LORD from
blessing you, he can come in the back-door and try to steal what
Joy you have. In the
Scripture above, Samson had just slain 1,000 Philistines with a
donkey's jawbone. You can only imagine the energy drain
fighting a thousand soldiers must have been. He was not just
casually thirsty. It
was a life or death situation. But, the LORD
moved right in to save him and Samson remained a judge of Israel
for 20 years. The LORD
is with you in the battle, and HE
does not forget you when it is done. You can count on HIM
being there by your back-door to make sure you retain that
Victory.
